BOOTHBAY, Maine — A Boothbay woman is heartbroken after her dog reportedly was stolen from her home.
Christian Jewett said she got home from work on Friday to find her dog, Delilah, missing, along with the dog’s crate.
She later noticed that a screen over one of her windows was broken and called the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to report Delilah stolen.
She said she doesn’t understand why anyone would do this.
“It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard of, and I feel like the people that I talk to about it think I’m crazy because literally all they took was the dog. So I’m hoping it’s some sick twisted joke, to be honest,” Jewett said.
Nothing else was taken from Jewett’s home.
