HERMON, Maine — Jeff Overlock Jr. of Hermon added his name to the list of first-time winners for the 2016 racing season at Speedway 95 Wednesday night when he won the 20-lap Modified Enduro feature event.

Starting on the pole after winning one of the two qualifying races held earlier in the evening, Overlock battled side by side with outside pole sitter Steve Moulton of Holden for the first six laps, but took the lead for good on the seventh circuit of the caution-free race.

Overlock held the lead to the checkers, but never by more than two car lengths over Kimball, who finished second. Milo’s Dustin Lancaster, who rode behind the two leaders for all 20 laps waiting for a break that never came, posted a third-place finish. Fourth went to Stetson’s Keith Drost, with Danielle Beale of Hampden rounding out the top five with another strong run.
