WARREN, Maine — A married couple from Hiram was indicted Tuesday for allegedly trying to smuggle drugs into the Maine State Prison.
Annie T. Terrano-Kehling, 30, and Jessy J. Kehling, 29, each were indicted by a Knox County grand jury on a charge of trafficking in prison contraband.
The indictment alleges the two tried to get Suboxone to a prisoner at the Maine State Prison in August 2015. The couple mailed the Suboxone to a third person for the drugs to be given to a prisoner.
The felony charge of trafficking is punishable by up to five years in prison.
Also indicted Tuesday by the grand jury was Cynthia Haskell, 40, of Swanville on charges of aggravated trafficking in marijuana and furnishing marijuana. The indictment alleges Haskell sold drugs along with a juvenile and provided that juvenile some of the marijuana.
