BINGHAMTON, New York — Mitch Atkins fanned a season-high nine batters over seven innings, leading the Portland Sea Dogs to a 3-0 win over the Binghamton Mets on Friday night at NYSEG Stadium.

Atkins scattered three hits and did not issue a walk while earning his first win since July 29 at Binghamton. The lone jam for the righty came in the fourth inning when the Mets had runners at the corners, but Atkins fanned Matt Oberste and Victor Cruzado to end the threat.

Mauricio Dubon put the Sea Dogs on the board, launching a solo homer off losing pitcher Josh Zeid in the third inning. In the fourth, Cody Decker hit his team-leading 12th homer off Zeid.

Henry Ramos, who was transferred to Portland before the game from Triple-A Pawtucket, nailed an RBI single in the sixth.

Jake Drehoff stranded two in the eighth inning to earn his third hold of the year, and Luis Ysla tossed a scoreless ninth for his second save.

Portland had just three hits, all knocking in runs.
