SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania — A motorcyclist died Friday afternoon after he collided with a vehicle on the Hamlin Highway in Wayne County.

David Hazen, 63, of Dedham, Maine, was riding his motorcycle east on the Hamlin Highway when a car driven by Darlene Edwards, 68, of Hamlin drove into his path.

Edwards, who suffered an injury of unknown severity, had been trying to cross the highway from Chapman Road, police said.

The impact flipped Hazen’s motorcycle, while Edwards’ car struck a utility pole. Edwards will face charges for her role in the crash, according to police.
