BANGOR, Maine — An Old Town man has been arrested in connection with burglaries in multiple Penobscot County communities, according to county Sheriff Troy Morton.

Multiple charges of burglary and theft are pending against Jonathan Brothers, 28, according to Morton. Brothers was arrested on Wednesday and charged with violation of his probation.

The investigation ensued when daytime residential burglaries were reported in Holden, Glenburn, Hudson, Corinth, Old Town, Orono, Carmel and Edinburg.

Stolen property was recovered from Brothers’ residence during a search last week, Morton said.

The case has been forwarded to the district attorney’s office for review, and Morton isn’t ruling out others being charged.

Maine State Police, Brewer, Old Town, Holden and Orono police assisted the sheriff’s office, along with Maine Probation and Parole.
