FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Fort Fairfield police are looking for a missing teenager and are asking the public’s help in locating her.

Tyana McLaughlin, 16, has not been seen since 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, when she left her Fort Fairfield residence, according to a media release from Police Chief Shawn Newell.

McLaughlin’s mother, Nicole Leseure, had “brief phone contact with her that evening, but has been unable to talk with her since that time,” Newell said in the release.

The police are “concerned for her well-being” and have been gathering information and following various leads, Newell said. McLaughlin is thought to still be in the area around central Aroostook County, “possibly hiding out in Washburn or Caribou,” he added.

Anyone with information on McLaughlin’s location is asked to contact the Fort Fairfield Police Department at 207-532-5400.
