NEW LIMERICK, Maine — A 4-year-old suffered injuries that were not life-threatening after he was ejected from the vehicle he was riding in during a rollover accident in New Limerick Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Josh Haines said in a written statement that the accident occurred at 6:19 a.m. on Campbell Road when Zachary McCarty, 24, of New Limerick fell asleep while at the wheel of a 2006 Ford SUV. The vehicle crossed the centerline and left the roadway, striking a utility pole, before coming to rest on its side.
