The landing gear of a FedEx Corp. DC-10 cargo plane collapsed Friday at the main airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, causing a fire that was quickly extinguished, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said.
Video from local broadcasters shows what appears to be a FedEx cargo plane that is intact with the fire having taken place near the tail section.
The company later said the pilots were safe.
