SACO, Maine — A man’s body was found in the rubble of a home explosion early Tuesday morning in Saco, according to the Maine state fire marshal’s office.

It happened just before 2 a.m. on Pheasant Road.

Officials say one male victim found in the home after the explosion. The victim is believed to be in his 70s.

Saco police, several fire departments and Sgt. Joel Davis with the Maine state fire marshal’s office were at the scene Tuesday morning.

The body will be taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

There is no word yet on a cause.
