LISBON, Maine — A Lisbon man sought by police after allegedly breaking into a Lisbon apartment overnight Tuesday was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon.

David Farnum, 23, contacted police Wednesday afternoon, then turned himself in to Lisbon police officers and Androscoggin County sheriff’s deputies outside a Lisbon home belonging to a relative, according to a release issued Wednesday.

Farnum was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail where he will be held on $20,000 cash bail pending a court appearance.

He is charged with burglary, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and violation of conditions of release after allegedly breaking into an apartment at 374 Lisbon Street just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, threatening the residents with a gun, and then fleeing out the back door.
