The Penobscot County Courthouse, located at 97 Hammond St. in Bangor, will open two hours later than usual on Tuesday because of repairs being made to a water main, a county official said Monday.

The building will open for business at 10 a.m., according to County Administrator Bill Collins.

To that end, the Penobscot County Commissioners meeting will not begin until 10:05 a.m., he said. The delayed opening affects the Registry of Deeds, Registry of Probate and the District Attorney’s office.
