A Westbrook man died early Friday after a car struck him, according to Westbrook police.
James I. Brooks, 41, was walking in the area of 48 Spiller Drive around 1:30 a.m. when he was struck by a car driven by Nestus Mukeshimana, 31, of Portland, Westbrook police Capt. Sean Lally said in a news release.
Brooks died at the scene. Mukeshimana was not injured.
No further information was released, including whether Brooks was crossing or in the road at the time of the crash. Westbrook police continue to investigate to determine what caused the crash.
