BRUNSWICK, Maine — For the second time in three days, Brunswick teenagers on Thursday called 911 after reportedly discovering intruders in their home with them.

Just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday two 14-year-olds called the police to say they thought a man and a woman were in their Bath Road home with them, according to Brunswick Police Cmdr. Mark Waltz.

While the teens were on the phone with the dispatcher, the teens said they could hear the couple talking, and they then fled the house, only to report that they saw through a window what appeared to be a man, Waltz said.

Brunswick police, along with a police dog from Freeport, searched the area but found no one.

Just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, two teens, aged 15 and 17 years old, called police when they thought they saw a man come into their home on Jordan Avenue, Waltz said. The man reportedly ran when he saw them.

A Maine State Police dog searched the area with Brunswick police, but found no one.

Waltz said police sent evidence from both scenes to a lab and may learn more when results come back. In the meantime, “We recommend people lock their doors, even if they’re home, just to be safe.”
