AUGUSTA — Le Club Calumet, 334 West River Road, will be be holding their annual Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Any donations will be collected to benefit the Augusta Food Bank.

AUGUSTA — City Reach Augusta Church, 5 Glenridge Drive, will provide food for its Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

BANGOR — Chanelle Rose Management LLC will host a free Thanksgiving Dinner 11 a.m.-3 p.m at the Rock Church of Bangor, 1195 Ohio St. Serving times are at 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. For information, call 327-9000.

BANGOR — Free Thanksgiving dinner, 1 p.m. Hammond Street Congregational Church, 28 High St. Doors open at noon.

BATH — There will be a free Thanksgiving dinner, noon-2 p.m. at Midcoast Pizza & More, 737 Washington St. Free transportation will be provided by Platinum Plus Taxi, call at 443-9166. There will also be free deliveries. For more information, call the restaurant at 207-443-6631.

BELFAST — Parishioners and volunteers at St. Francis of Assisi Church will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal noon-2 p.m. at the church located on 81 Court St. in Belfast. All are invited to attend the free dinner, especially those who may be alone for the holiday. BELFAST — Traci’s Diner, 57 Main St., will offer a Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. By donation, but no one will be turned away. All proceeds raised will help Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine provide Christmas gifts for area children.

BOWDOINHAM— All are welcome to the Bowdoinham Fire Station, 57 Post Road, for a Thanksgiving Dinner at 12 p.m. Any questions, call Theresa Turgeon at 207-837-2577.

BUCKSPORT — Bucksport United Methodist Church will host a meal and fellowship at the church for anyone who would be alone on Thanksgiving Day within our Bucksport area community. There is a group at church that would like to have folks come watch the Macy’s Parade, have some appetizers and then share Thanksgiving Dinner together. DEXTER — The Carter- Dulac Memorial VFW Post 4298 will host a community Thanksgiving Dinner at 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 20 Cedar St. If you know someone who needs food delivered, contact the Post at 924-2183.

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, 824 West Main St., will host a free Thanksgiving dinner at noon. Reservations are requested but not required. For more information or to RSVP, contact the church office at 564-2872. Leave your name and the number of people attending the dinner.

GARDINER — The Augusta Valley Scottish Rite Masons will be sponsoring a free Thanksgiving Dinner from 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Gardiner Area High School, 40 W Hill Road. For those not having transportation or who prefer meals to be delivered to their home may make arrangements for home delivery by contacting Kevin Campbell at 504-3073. Anyone interested in helping with meal preparation or delivery of meals should contact Larry Perkins at 685-3325.

GORHAM — For the eighth year, Mr. Bagel, 13 New Portland Road, will offer a free meal beginning at noon. Transportation is available, as is delivery for those wanting to remain at home.Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so. All donations benefit the Gorham Food Pantry. GUILFORD — This is the 14th year that this free Thanksgiving dinner has been offered to the community, by the community. The meal is scheduled for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Guilford United Methodist Church on the corner of North Main and School streets in Guilford. Take-out meals are available. Delivered meals and rides to the event may be offered if enough volunteers are available.

Even though the meal is at a church, organizers said it is not a church-related event, but is held there because the facility is donated and features a kitchen and large dining area suitable for hosting dinner for the 60 to 80 people who attend each year.

Volunteers are needed to cook and deliver food to the church, to serve food, to socialize with the guests, to deliver meals to the home-bound, and to clean up after the meal. Donations of cooked foods delivered to the church by 10 a.m. are being sought, as are donations of cash, and food items such as butter, pickles, coffee, etc. that can be made ahead of the event. Any cash left over after each year’s event is donated to the church food cupboard, and leftover food is packed up and sent home with guests.

There will be plenty of decks of cards and board games on hand, and people are welcome to stay and socialize after the meal. Volunteers willing to provide live entertainment would also be welcome. HERMON — There will be a free Thanksgiving dinner 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at Lynde Lodge 174, 2500 Route 2, Hermon Village.

HOULTON — St. Mary of the Visitation Parish will host a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner in the parish hall at 112 Military St. in Houlton. All who want to share in a holiday meal are invited, whether it’s because someone doesn’t want to cook a big meal, lives alone, or is struggling financially. The dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. If you are interested in helping out or making a donation, call the parish office at 207-532-2871 from Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon.

KENNEBUNK — St. Martha Church, located on 30 Portland Road, will host the 19th annual Project Pilgrim, a complimentary Thanksgiving Day dinner for community members to come together and share in delicious food with their friends and neighbors. In 2016, Project Pilgrim served over 300 people. Guests can stop by St. Martha from noon to 1:30 p.m., or call ahead and arrange to pick up a meal or have one delivered to their home. Transportation to and from the event is also provided. KITTERY — The Church at Spruce Creek will host its second annual Thanksgiving Dinner from 1-4 p.m. at 31 Wilson Road. Everyone is welcome. If you either want to eat with us or help serve, please sign up at the church.

LEBANON — First Parish Congregational Church invites invites everyone to share a free turkey dinner with their church family from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 650 Center Road. Please call ahead at 207-651-5506 so they will be able to plan enough turkey and food for everyone to enjoy

LEE — Come celebrate Thanksgiving this year with America’s heroes, our U.S. veterans and their families at House in the Woods, 217 Skunk Hill Road. There will be three servings at 12, 1:30 and 3 p.m. Those with reservations will be seated first. Those without reservations will be seated as space is available. To RSVP, call 207-738-VETS (8387).

LIBERTY — The Liberty Community Hall will host the third annual Pay It Forward free Thanksgiving dinner at 11 a.m. Will have a complete dinner with all the fixings. Will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Liberty Baptist food pantry.

MACHIAS — A traditional buffet-style Thanksgiving meal with all of the fixings will be offered to the community 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at Bluebird Ranch Family Restaurant, 78 Main St. The meal is free, though donations will be appreciated. Proceeds and nonperishable food items will be donated to Machias Food Pantry.

MACHIAS — There will be a free community Thanksgiving dinner 5-7 p.m. at the University of Maine Machias, 116 Obrien Ave., as part of the Downeast Feast monthly community potluck. The joy of a potluck is the company and the combination of food that they bring. Even if you can’t bring anything, please join. Bring a container for leftovers or to take a meal home for someone else. And please share this event with anyone you think may want to come.

NORWAY — St. Catherine of Sienna Church and Christ Episcopal Church will host a free Thanksgiving Day dinner in the parish hall of St. Catherine of Sienna, located on 32 Paris St. in Norway. Area residents are invited to gather for the dinner which will begin at noon. To make reservations to attend, contact the parish office at 207-743-2606 or sign up on the sheets located in the narthex of St. Catherine of Sienna or Our Lady of Ransom Church in Mechanic Falls. There are also sign-up sheets for item donations and volunteer shifts.

PORTLAND — Deering Center Community Church, 4 Brentwood St., and Wayside Food Program are partnering to provide a free Thanksgiving Dinner at 1 p.m. at the church. If you and your family are planning to come please RSVP by calling 773-2423.

READFIELD — Readfield United Methodist Church is hosting a free community Thanksgiving day dinner 1-3 p.m. at 1564 Main St. For more information, call 207-685-4211.

ROCKLAND — A free Thanksgiving Day turkey dinner with all of the traditional side dishes and trimmings, plus gluten-free and vegan options, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 11 White St. St. A Thanksgiving Day Eucharist service will be offered at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Open to anyone. Those who wish to assist with the preparation and serving of the meal, or who would like to contribute to the meal with donations of food or cash, may call Lucia Elder at 446-2502, or St Peter’s church office at 594-8191.

SACO — Good Shepherd Parish and the Knights of Columbus will host the 19th annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the hall of Most Holy Trinity Church, located on 271 Main Street in Saco. All members of the community are invited to attend. A turkey dinner with all the fixings, including dessert and beverages, will be served. Free takeout and delivery are available on Thanksgiving Day. SANFORD — The youth group at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish will host a meal for the less fortunate in the St. Ignatius gym/cafeteria, located on 25 Riverside Avenue in Sanford, at noon. Takeout meals will also be prepared for homebound community members to enjoy. SCARBOROUGH — Scarborough School Nutrition Program, Scarborough Community Services, Project GRACE, Scarborough Garden Club among others are hosting a free community meal from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Wentworth School Cafe, 20 Quentin Dr. Community Services can offer rides. Please RSVP by calling 730-4100 and to request a ride if needed.

TURNER — Turner Village Church will host a community Thanksgiving meal. 1-4 p.m. at 139 Main St. Will have turkey and all the trimmings, drinks, desserts and fun fellowship. There will be an assortment of board and card games as well.

UNION — The Thompson Community Center, 51 S Union Road, will have a Free Thanksgiving Dinner 1-3 p.m. They will have turkey, pork roast, all the fixings, and tons of desserts. We can book tables for groups, deliver meals, and also pick up people. Contact Lori at 975-352 for more information.

WINTHROP — A free Thanksgiving Day dinner will be offered in the hall of St. Francis Xavier Church, located on 130 Route 133 in Winthrop. Area residents in need are invited to join their neighbors and fellow community members at the dinner which will run from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. All are welcome at the event which is organized by the Winthrop Rotary. Takeout meals are also available. To sign up for delivery, call 207-377-7210.

In addition, St. Patrick Church in Newcastle is assisting the town’s ecumenical food pantry in providing Thanksgiving baskets for hundreds of families in Lincoln County. Organizers are in need of canned vegetables, cranberry sauce/jelly, stuffing mix, and canned pumpkin. Monetary donations to purchase items are also encouraged. Those interested in helping the cause can drop off their donations before and after Masses at St. Patrick on November 18-19 or at the church office, located on 380 Academy Hill Road in Newcastle, any time from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
