A man who crashed his pickup truck into six parked cars in Gorham Tuesday night has been charged with operating under the influence, police said.
Hudson Adams, 20, has also been charged with operating without a license, said Gorham Deputy Chief Christopher Sanborn. Following his Tuesday arrest, the Windham man was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland and placed on probation hold for violating his probation, Sanborn said.
Adams wasn’t sober around 9:54 p.m. Tuesday when he drove his silver 2014 Chevrolet pickup southbound on Gray Road, or Route 202, and failed to stop at the intersection with Main Street, or Route 25, Sanborn said. The crossing has a stop sign, he said.
Instead, Adams allegedly rolled through the intersection and kept going into the driveway of 199 Main St., where he slammed into four parked cars.
Adams then kept going, plowing over a section of grass and hitting two more cars parked in the driveway at 193 Main St., where the pickup finally came to a stop, Sanborn said.
Adam avoid injury in the crashes, and the six cars he struck were unoccupied.
