No. 7 Deering pulled off a remarkable upset Thursday evening, defeating No. 2 Windham 41-26 in an AA North girls quarterfinal battle.
Deering’s record improves to 5-14. Windham ends its season with a 10-9 record.

Deering will move on to face Bangor in the semifinals on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Bangor earned a spot in the semifinals after defeating Cheverus in a quarterfinal matchup earlier in the evening.
Deering and Windham girls were both ousted from the 2018 tournament in the opening round, falling to Oxford Hills and Cheverus, respectively.
