Greely High School looked every bit the undefeated reigning state champion Monday night in Portland in a 66-28 blowout victory over Fryeburg Academy.

Greely, the top seed in the Class A South girls’ basketball bracket, entered the game with an 18-0 record. With Monday night’s quarterfinal win, the Rangers move on to a semifinal round contest at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

The Rangers won the state title in 2018 and reached the Class A South final in 2016 and 2017.

Fryeburg Academy missed the tournament last season and was eliminated in the quarterfinals in both 2016 and 2017. With Monday’s loss, Fryeburg finishes the season with a 5-15 record.
