Two Dresden residents remained in serious condition at a Portland hospital on Tuesday afternoon and a third in fair condition following a Sunday afternoon crash in Brunswick.
Elmer Warren Sr., 49, and Rochelle Warren, 22, both of Dresden, suffered serious injuries when a 2000 Ford Ranger driven by the elder Warren crashed into a large pole on Route 1 near the Route 196 connector.
A second passenger, Tracey Williams, 24, of Topsham, was in fair condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to a spokesman.
The crash, which occurred at about 2:45 p.m., prompted police to close both the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 1 while they investigated, police said.
The crash remained under investigation on Tuesday, and no additional information was available, Brunswick police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said.
