Bangor High School won only a single event on Tuesday, but the Rams scored in all 12 on the way to the Class A girls swimming and diving state championship held at Bowdoin College in Brunswick.
It was the 20th state title for the program, which last won in 2012.
Bangor scored 274 points to outlast runner-up Cony of Augusta, which finished with 261. Falmouth (202) was third, followed by Lewiston (145) and Kennebunk (142).
The Nos. 6-10 teams were Gorham (141), Waterville-Winslow (126), Cheverus of Portland (106), Brunswick (105) and Sanford (94).
Bangor capped the meet with its only win of the day as the 400 freestyle relay quartet of Rachel Hand, Ginny Hunt, Maddie Huerth and McKayla Kendall raced to a 3 1/2-second victory over Cony in 3 minutes, 46.26 seconds.
Hand and Kendall keyed the charge for the Rams. Hand, a senior, turned in runner-up performances in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke, while Kendall, a freshman, took second in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly.
Both girls also competed on Bangor’s second-place entry in the 200 medley relay, which included Anna Sellnow and Huerth.
The Rams garnered fifth in the 200 free relay, a unit made up of Hunt, Olivia Babin, Claire Pellegrino and Anna Sellnow.
Sellnow also contributed a third in the 100 breaststroke and was fifth in the 100 free, while Huerth was sixth in the 500 free and seventh in the 200 free and Hunt placed sixth in the 200 IM.
Other scorers for Bangor were: Sarah Danby (sixth, diving), Erica Desjardins (11th, diving), Guilia Fodor (13th, diving) and Claire Pellegrino (15th, 100 butterfly).
Cony posted seven first-place finishes to take the runner-up plaque. Gabby Low and Cecilia Guadalupi were the catalysts. Low won the 100 butterfly (55.44) and the 100 backstroke (56.33). Guadalupi sped to victory in the 200 IM (2:05.68) and the 100 butterfly (55.44).
Both girls swam on the Rams’ gold-medal 200 medley relay unit along with Lunden Dinkel and Emma Crosby (1:49.84). Guadalupi combined with Dinkel, Emma Thomas and Leah Allee to win the 200 free relay (1:44.22).
Thomas also emerged as the champion in the 200 free (1:57.67).
Brooke Cloutier of Lewiston was a two-event champion, winning the 50 free (25.04) and the 100 breaststroke (1:07.75)
Other event winners were Alex Morse of Brunswick in the 500 free (5:19.67) and Lily Smith of Falmouth in the diving (370.20 points).
