Valley had the lead over Temple at the end of the first. Temple fought back to tie the game at halftime. Valley regained a 4-point lead at the end of the third. But in the end, it was Temple who emerged victorious with a 57-52 win Wednesday’s D South boys semifinal matchup at the Augusta Civic Center.

No. 2 Temple Academy’s record improves to 15-5 for the season. Valley’s season ends at 14-6.

Temple will move on to the D South finals, where they will play the winner of today’s match between No. 5 Greenville (9-10) and No. 1 Forest Hills (19-0). That game will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:45 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.
