Two Portland women are on a mission to reunite a teddy bear with its owner.
It was found on Commercial Street in Portland early Saturday morning.
Betsy Cook says she and her friend were on a run, when they came across the well-loved teddy bear outside a restaurant.
They say they’ve temporarily named it “Braverson,” and are hoping to find it’s home.
“I think we all have the bear, or for me it was a little doll from Sweden, that was so important to us as a kid and probably still is,” Cook said.

The two posted about the bear on social media, and so far, it’s been shared nearly 5,000 times, all around the country.
“The arms are kind of [worn as though they’ve been] grabbed and the back of the head looks like he was just snuggled up against, so someone is missing this guy, for sure,” Cook said.
They’re hoping more people can help them spread the word, so they can find its rightful owner.
