A 22-year-old bicyclist was hospitalized Monday afternoon after hitting a pickup truck on Centre Street, Bath police say.
Witnesses told police the bicyclist ran a red light before the collision.
Police said the bike was not equipped with brakes, and the bicyclist was not wearing a helmet.
The bicyclist suffered serious head and face injuries and was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
The collision is still under investigation.
