Suzanne Gordon’s recent letter to the editor requesting that the BDN stop demeaning society’s intelligence when it comes to understanding the role of science is one I hope the paper takes it seriously.

The media has contributed to and caused much of the confusion about COVID-19 by not highlighting the fact that constant reassessment and realignment of protocols is the very essence of science. If more people understood that, we might be in a much better place with regard to our response to COVID, as well as to climate change.
