Easton 18, Van Buren 17
Both the Bears and Crusaders had a slow start to the game, with neither team being able to score in the first quarter. Going into halftime, Van Buren pulled ahead, establishing a 6-2 lead over Easton.
The third quarter had the Crusaders score an additional eight points, while Easton scored another seven, keeping Van Buren in the lead 14-9.
In the fourth, Easton found its stride and made a comeback to tie the game at 15-15, sending the game into overtime.
Van Buren managed to score two points in overtime, but Maddy Bridges of Easton made a game winning buzzer beater to win the game for Easton, 18-17.
For Van Buren, Abbie Cormier led the team with 10 points, followed by Renee Lapointe with five and Kayden Bouchard with two.
For Easton, both Maddie Bridges and Mackenzie Kinney led the team with seven points each, followed by both Amelia Bate and Grace Sloan chipped in two.
