Polling has shown that only 20 percent of the American people — Republicans, Democrats, independents — have trust in our political system and its democracy. Whose fault is that? Politicians are quick to blame white supremacy, extremism, racism, Christians, pro-life or just us the people. But who really is to blame? It is the politicians who have created this situation.

For the last five years, I believe they tried to politically assassinate an elected president. Their Russian collusion delusion fostered a breakdown in any confidence we as citizens may have had in this system. The  basket of deplorables, they called us. They destroyed any confidence we may have had. No wonder nearly 40% of the American people won’t get a COVID-19 vaccination. Now this political system is collapsing. The result of this will be a total societal collapse and anarchy will rule as we already see in our cities if nothing changes.

Jan. 6, 2021 was terrible but was just a taste of what will come as a result of their failures and lies. We cannot follow in the footsteps of that day. All politicians are to blame and all of them must go peacefully and allow the hope of a better day in the governance of this great country.
