A dead body was found Sunday afternoon in Orrington.
The body was found on the riverbank about 4:33 p.m., according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The body isn’t that of a missing person, and there’s no indication of a threat to the broader community, the sheriff’s office said late Sunday.
No additional information was released, and the investigation is ongoing.
