The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is saying they’ve gotten numerous reports of vehicle burglaries in the area of Sebago Road, Hawkes Road and Anderson Road.

The sheriff’s office is reporting that a total of 17 cars were burglarized. Each car that was burglarized was unlocked at the time and parked in private driveways.

The list of stolen items from the vehicles included cash, prescription medications and computer equipment.

During the investigation, detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for a home on Hawkes Road in Sebago. As a result of that search, the majority of the stolen property was recovered, including $3,000 in cash.

A suspect was also arrested in this case. Adam Beaulieu, 20, of Sebago, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary to a motor vehicle and theft.

Beaulieu was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on May 10th.
