The University of Maine women’s basketball team is heading to Ohio.

The Black Bears will be taking on Big Ten regular season champion Ohio State at noon Friday. It is their first appearance in the NCAA tournament since the 2018-19 season.

The 24-9 Black Bears, winners of 12 of their last 13 games, beat defending champ Vermont 64-48 in the America East title game to secure Friday’s game.

The game kicks off at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio at 12 p.m. Friday. It will be streamed on ESPN.
