A woman has been arrested in Tuesday morning’s fatal shooting on Highland Avenue in Bangor.
Olivia Babin, 20, of Bangor has been charged with manslaughter, according to Bangor police Detective Lt. Brent Beaulieu.
Daniel Ford-Coates was found suffering from a gunshot wound about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday on Highland Avenue, Beaulieu said.
Police had been called to the scene after getting a call about an altercation at a residence there.
Ford-Coates was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Maine medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
Babin is being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
Beaulieu said no further information is being released at this time, citing an ongoing and active investigation.
