The St. Dominic’s baseball team hoisted its third straight gold glove on Saturday, dispatching the Stearns Minutemen of Millinocket 9-1 at USM in Gorham.

Senior Ashton Hammond pitched a gem in his final start for the No. 1 Saints of Auburn, striking out 12 and conceding just one hit, according to the Lewiston Sun Journal.

Hammond also hit a double at the plate, and fellow seniors Ridge Dionne and Tom Casserly collected multiple RBIs apiece.

It was St. Dom’s eighth state title, wrapping up an 18-2 campaign this season. No. 2 Stearns finished 15-5.
