A man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a train in Portland.
Brett Staples, 34, of Portland was hit about 8:13 p.m. near Morrill’s Corner, according to Brad Nadeau, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department.
Staples was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
No charges have been filed.
The death remains under investigation.
