The news report that an informational booth at the Loring Air Museum’s open house allowed an extremist anti-government group called Tactical Civics shocked me. This group wants to defund certain federal agencies and much worse! Veterans like myself of Loring Air Force Base do not condone this.

The Loring Air Museum has been  attempting to get government grants, which would come from federal monies. I am a life member of the Loring Air Museum and have requested the many items I donated back so they can be displayed in a museum that is nonpolitical. As a former staff sergeant in the security police at Loring, I am ashamed that Tactical Civics was allowed to set up recruitment during any event located on a former base. What were the museum administrators thinking?
