Update: Police identified the victim and ruled the death a homicide.

A woman was found dead in a Bangor home on Wednesday morning after she didn’t come to work, according to Bangor police.

Police were notified just after 9 a.m. of a potential death at a house on Larkin Street.

A co-worker went to the house after the woman didn’t arrive at work on Wednesday morning, Bangor police Sgt. Jason McAmbley said in a news release.

At the house, police found the body of a woman. As of Wednesday afternoon, McAmbley said detectives and evidence technicians were still at the scene starting an investigation and interviewing witnesses.
