Four people, including a 2-year-old, were injured in a head-on collision Friday afternoon in Levant.
The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. in the area of 1310 Horseback Road, according to multiple officials.
Kallie Urquhart, 23, was driving south in a 2016 Jeep Renegade and collided with a 2008 Toyota RAV4 driven by Edward Spencer, 54, who was driving north, Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte said in a news release.
Spencer was seriously injured in the crash and is in critical condition at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. A 2-year-old in his car was flown by Life Flight helicopter to a hospital, and a third passenger was brought by ambulance to EMMC, Turcotte said. He did not state the condition of the two passengers.
Urquhart was also injured in the crash and on Friday evening was being treated at a local hospital, Turcotte said.
On Saturday a hospital representative described Urquhart’s condition as “good” and said they “have no information on Edward Spencer.” The condition of the other passengers on Saturday was unknown.
State police are reconstructing the crash and did not immediately state the cause or circumstances.
