The release of the special counsel’s report on Jan. 6 is yet another reminder that vigilance is needed if we are to preserve what makes us proud to be Americans. That the heinous alleged acts documented in the report will not be presented to a jury is a travesty. Democratic legislators in Washington, D.C. and in every state of the union need to take the floor of their respective chambers and read the report aloud having invited their community’s news outlets to record the evidence and conclusions reached by the special counsel.

We must not let this go away or fade into the distance. If it takes more than one legislative session all the better. Those of us who care about the Constitution and rule of law believe we have a duty to keep this in front of the country’s constituents, reminding them daily for the foreseeable future of the attack on our constitutional order. Justice demands it.
