Planned construction will reduce southbound traffic on Interstate 95 in Bangor to a single lane on Monday.

The Maine Department of Transportation will close one lane of the highway where it passes over Broadway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to set up equipment and protect workers. As a result, only one lane will remain open to traffic.

The northbound traffic will not be affected.

The work is part of an ongoing $30.6 million project to replace bridges and enhance intersections, started in 2023 and expected to wrap up in late 2026.
