The Penobscot County Sheriffs office reported a “serious traffic crash” in the area of Route 2 and Boston Road in Hermon.
The department issued the notice at 3:18 p.m. and said Route 2 is closed with traffic being diverted from the area.
Photos posted to a private Facebook group suggested the crash involved a bucket truck and a pickup. Both vehicles appeared to have extensive damage to their front ends.
No additional information was immediately available.
