I am writing in support of Rep. Laurel Libby and in opposition to her having been essentially ousted from the Maine House of Representatives for four months. I think House Speaker Ryan Fecteau and the Democrats were wrong to deprive her and her 9,000 constituents of their voice and vote in the Maine government. I believe the Supreme Court was absolutely correct in giving back her vote.

I don’t think Fecteau and the Democrats support our constitutional rights to free speech and representation. To wait to restore her rights at the end of session was an insult to her district, who lacked a voice for most of the session.
