A bird knocked out power to thousands of people in Bangor on Tuesday night.

More than 3,300 customers lost power around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on the west side of Bangor, according to Versant Power’s website.

The outage was caused by a bird in the substation near the airport, a Versant spokesperson said Wednesday.

Power was restored in about an hour, according to WBZN 107.3.
