Thank you to the Bangor Daily News editorial board for the powerful editorial, “Cruelty is becoming a defining quality of America,” of July 5-6. With eloquence and an appalling array of facts, it described a trend that I’ve been struggling, painfully, to come to terms with.
The destruction of USAID (a tiny part of our budget) alone is causing unnecessary deaths and suffering.
