For decades, the waterfront venue now known as the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor has hosted dozens of concerts every summer.

Over the years, the waterfront has hosted historic superstars like Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan to more contemporary hit artists like Luke Bryan and The Lumineers.

This past summer, the Maine Savings Amphitheater hosted more than a dozen acts on the waterfront, with Zac Brown opening the season on May 31.

Here’s some of the best pictures taken by photographers Jodi and Rodney Devost for the Bangor Daily News this past summer:

Zac Brown Band, Gaelic Storm

The Lumineers, Hippo Campus

Shania Twain, MacKenzie Porter

The Black Crowes, High June

Collective Soul, LIVE and Our Lady Peace

Goo Goo Dolls, Dashboard Confessional

Now that it’s officially fall, concerts are winding down for the season and announcements for next year’s performances are starting to come out. There is at least one show left in the coming weeks: Alternative rock group Twenty One Pilots plays on Oct. 1.
