A home is a total loss after a Monday night fire in Fort Fairfield.
Fort Fairfield Fire Rescue responded to a fully-involved fire at 141 Presque Isle Road at 11:08 p.m. on Monday, Assistant Chief Danny Gahagan said in a release.
Fire crews reported heavy fire from an attached garage that had spread to the home and caused a partial roof collapse. The fire was extinguished around 5 a.m. with mutual aid from the Easton, Limestone and Presque Isle fire departments.
There were no injuries reported. Residents made it out of the home because of working smoke detectors, Gahagan said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Office of the State Fire Marshal was on scene Tuesday. The Red Cros
