Walter Augur recently posted a surprising video in a striped bass fishing Facebook group.

The video shows a mink attacking a fawn on a beach.

Augur was looking for a place to fish for striped bass in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, when he spotted the interaction, although in the video he mistakenly identifies the animal as a fisher.

Augur said the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management told him he was interfering with nature, but the fawn was later taken to a wildlife rehabilitation facility.

“It had a broken shoulder and was pretty beat up,” Augur said.

As for the striped bass, “I was covered in blood after, so no fishing,” he said.
