BANGOR — The Sohns Gallery, located inside The Rock and Art Shop in downtown Bangor, is pleased to announce a vibrant new exhibition featuring the artwork of local artist Jeff Wahlstrom. The community is invited to celebrate the opening reception on Friday, July 3 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The exhibition showcases Wahlstrom’s unique watercolor collages and intricate block prints, capturing the essence of the Maine landscape. An artist talk will take place at 5:30 p.m. during the reception, offering attendees a deeper look into Wahlstrom’s creative process and inspirations.

A book art collaboration

The evening will also serve as the book launch for Island Time, an exquisite new chapbook that brings together three distinct creative voices:

● Poetry & Prose: Written by celebrated author Robin Clifford Wood, known for her acclaimed biography “The Field House”

● Artwork: Featuring the illustrations of Jeff Wahlstrom.

● Design: Artistically composed and bound by renowned book artist Walter Tisdale.

This collaboration seamlessly merges poetry, visual art, and high-level bookcraft. Copies of Island Time and a broadsheet will be available for purchase during the reception.
