A transient man originally from Oregon was arrested by Brewer police on Monday after allegedly entering a woman’s vehicle and trying to force her to touch his genitals.
The incident happened at the Brewer Shopping Center. The man, identified by police as Devin Anderson, 35, allegedly was rubbing his genitals over his clothing, grabbed the woman by her arm and instructed her to assist him.
Police said Anderson refused to get out of the vehicle despite the woman yelling at him to leave, finally leaving just before police arrived.
The victim pointed out Anderson to police, who arrested him and charged him with assault, criminal trespass and two counts of violating bail. Additionally, police said, Anderson is being held for violating probation.
Anderson was previously charged with assault in April after he allegedly followed a woman in downtown Bangor and grabbed her. He was also arrested in May 2025 after allegedly fighting with police after refusing to leave a Main Street business.
