Former Maine Senate President Troy Jackson has locked down a majority of the 601 people who will select the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate at the July 25 convention in Bangor, all but assuring he will be the party’s pick against five-term Republican Susan Collins.
Jackson won at least 367 of the 403 delegates awarded through Sunday afternoon, clearing the majority threshold after nearly sweeping York County with 77 of 84 delegates.
