An office building that holds multiple businesses in downtown Old Town is listed for sale at $1.1 million.
The Old Town Professional Building at 136 Center St. is being sold by Dresser Properties. The building was opened about two years ago and has multiple floors and spaces for businesses to rent out.
The listing comes as Old Town officials are trying to boost the city’s economic development. Although the future of the building is currently unclear, Old Town officials previously hailed it as a space where businesses can get started, grow and establish themselves in the former mill town.
A card collecting shop, massage therapy and a consulting firm are among the businesses renting space in the building. Ninety percent of the building is occupied, according to the posting.
It’s unclear what would happen to the businesses’ leases if the building sells, but the posting says the 25,000-square-foot building has over $20,000 a month in “income potential.”
Dresser Properties declined to comment on the posting, but Vice President Jason Elliott previously said businesses were filling spaces in the building despite a down economy.
“We wanted a wide array of businesses that could help each other, and it’s obviously a challenge to fill an office building in this environment, but we’ve been able to do that in just over a year,” Elliott said in July 2025.
