Did you lose an iPhone or personal body camera while visiting York in June?
What about a set of ashes, a large kitchen knife or a, presumably, fake skull?
Well, the York Police Department would kindly like you to come get your stuff.
The department on Monday released a list of an assortment of lost property that’s found its way over to 9 Hannaford Drive since January.

That includes IDs and bank cards with unambiguous owners, as well as a multitude of items with no clear owner, such as the aforementioned iPhones galore, the large (the PD specified the size) kitchen knife and a fake skull.
But it’s so much more than that. There’s a wallet containing just $3, CD photographs and a dog collar tracker. Then there’s a gym bag containing miscellaneous items and that’s, hopefully, not been stinking up the evidence locker. And there’s a blue bag with two bottles of lotion, a bottle, a brush and a solitary sock.
If you’ve been trying to figure out the last place you had your fake skull or wondering where your lotion and other sock got to, you may want to stop by the York police station on Hannaford Drive. But, please, call Detective Scott Cuddy at 207-363-1031 before making the trip.
You will need to provide “reasonable and satisfactory proof” of ownership.
And you’ll need to do it before Jan. 3, 2027, after which the unclaimed property will be sold, donated or, in the case of the possible smelly gym bag, destroyed “in accordance with applicable law.”
