As a practitioner of veterans disability law, it is important to me for our state and federal officials to advocate for programs that help veterans and their families.

I support Chip Curry for state Senate because he supported numerous pro-veteran pieces of legislation this most recent legislative session. Like LD 1640, an Act to Implement the Recommendations of the Gagetown Harmful Chemical Study Commission; or LD 1490, an Act that defends fundraising methods used by many veterans organizations.

I also like Chip for other reasons. He champions rural volunteer firefighters and emergency service providers. We have seen — particularly in the wake of Robbins Lumber fire — the need for rural emergency response services in rural Maine. Chip understands the problems these services face.

Please consider reelecting Chip Curry to the Maine state Senate on Nov. 3.
